About our pieces
Are your pieces really handmade?
Yes. Every Ana Chic cardigan, bag, and accessory is crocheted or knitted by one woman, working from her own home in Anatolia — organic cotton, traditional techniques, no factory involved. No two pieces are exactly the same.
Where are your pieces made?
Our pieces are made in Türkiye, in homes across Anatolia, by women we work with directly. Each piece is designed in Brighton and crocheted or knitted in the maker's own home — read the full story on Our Story.
Why does my piece look slightly different from the photo?
Because it was made by a human hand, not a machine. Each piece carries small variations in stitch tension, colour placement, or pattern. We consider these the fingerprint of the maker — and our favourite thing about the craft.
What does "limited edition" mean?
Every design has a production cap, set on the day it is drawn. Past the cap, the design retires and is never made again. Many pieces exist only once. When it's gone, it's gone.
How do I choose my size?
Most pieces are designed with a relaxed fit — see our size guide for the S / M / L measurements. If you're between sizes, we'd recommend sizing up: organic cotton knits relax slightly with wear.
Shipping
How long does shipping take?
In-stock pieces are packed and dispatched within 2–5 business days. After dispatch: UK 2–4 business days, EU 5–10, US and Canada 7–14, rest of world 10–21. Pieces marked Limited Restock are made for you by hand and take 21–28 business days before dispatch.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs and delivery times vary by destination. Exact rates are shown at checkout.
Is shipping free?
Free UK shipping on orders over £50. Free EU shipping on orders over £100. For other zones, see our shipping page.
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with tracking information. You can also find it in your Ana Chic account.
Care & returns
How do I wash my Ana Chic piece?
Hand-wash in cool water with mild detergent. Reshape while damp and lay flat to dry — never hang. Avoid machine washing and tumble drying to preserve the weave.
What if I'm not happy with my order?
We offer 14-day returns on unworn, unused items with original tags. Contact info@anachic.co.uk to start a return.
What if my piece arrives damaged?
Rare, but if it happens — email us with photos and we'll fix it quickly, usually with a replacement or refund at no cost to you.
Can I exchange my piece for a different size or colour?
If the piece is still available in the size or colour you want, yes. If not, we'll refund you or help you choose something else.
